Main view

The main view shows the name of the service provider you are using, the
type of the cellular network (such as 3.5G), and the current signal
strength of your service provider in your location (the more green dots
displayed, the better the signal). The view may also contain icons for
different websites.

The main view contains the following features:

• To return to the main view from other views, select

.

• To connect to the internet through a cellular network using the

current connection profile, select

Internet connection

> .

When

the connection is active,

is displayed at the top. To close the

connection, select

.

To connect to the internet through a wireless local area network
(WLAN), select

View network list

and the desired network. The

indicator beside the network name displays the signal strength of the
network. If a padlock is displayed beside the name, the network is
protected and you must give a password to use it.

• To manage contacts stored on your SIM card, select

• To send and view text messages, select

• To update the software (device firmware and connection manager

application) from the internet, select

Downloading software updates may involve the transmission of large
amounts of data through your service provider’s network. Contact
your service provider for information about data transmission
charges.

• To minimise the application without ending the active connection,
