To define network settings, in the main view, select

To select the service provider to use, select
Operator
, the provider, and
OK
. If you select
Auto
, the Nokia Internet Stick selects the provider
automatically, according to the network parameters and the roaming
agreements between the service providers.
To select which type of network the device uses for connections, select
Type of network
and the network type. If you select
Automatic
, the
Nokia Internet Stick first tries to use a 3G network, and if this fails, a
GSM network. If you select
2G only
(for GSM) or
3G only
, the Nokia
Internet Stick only tries to use the selected network type.
To prevent the Nokia Internet Stick from connecting to the internet in
radio sensitive environments (such as airplanes), select
Flight mode
.
When the device is in flight mode,
is displayed, and you can use the
application, but cannot connect to the internet or send or receive text
messages. To allow the device to connect to the internet, ensure that
the check box is not selected.
